Since the late 80s Bladder Pumps were notorious for being difficult to use, especially in field conditions. Because of this bladder pumps received a bad reputation and field technicians avoided them like the plague. Although bladder pumps were very difficult to use they presented a solution to robust VOC sampling. Seeing the opportunity in providing an easy to use solution that was also 100% PFAS free Spectra designed the Spectra Sil SeriesTM of Bladder Pumps, with only 3 moving parts and no LDPE/HDPE parts, making it truly PFAS Free. Technicians no longer had to worry about difficult bladder replacement, and many moving parts/consumables. At the same time, Spectra also designed the Hydro Pro, this was an improvement on the current products that were difficult to use, had multiple breakdowns, and did not operate well in humidity. The Hydro Pro easily produces ~300ft of lift. With Spectra Bladder Pump and Controllers technicians now conduct low flow sampling quickly and efficiently no matter the conditions.
